I am currently the Weinberg Postdoctoral Scholar at the Northwestern University Center for Legal Studies, where I research issues of legal and social classification and teach courses in gender and law, crime and social control, and law and technology. Before returning to Northwestern, I was a Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine.

My research and teaching interests include law and crime, gender and sexuality, science and knowledge, the politics of classification, immigration, and feminist and queer theory. My work has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies, the American Sociological Association, and the Law & Society Association.
